For more than two decades I have been fly fishing the clear, spring creeks that make up the Driftless Region and it’s my passion to share these beautiful and unique waters with you. If big flies and big fish are your interest, I can also treat you to an out-west experience on some of western Wisconsin's finest rivers - all from the comfort of my safe and stable drift boat. I promise to work hard to put you on the most productive waters, learn about the area, build on your skills and leave a better angler.
There are hundreds of miles of quiet waters to explore and we'll take our time to find the most productive stretches as you get to enjoy the beauty of the Driftless.
Just outside of the Driftless, we use a 15 ft. StealthCraft to target smallmouth, largemouth, pike and musky on the Chippewa and Wisconsin Rivers.
Enjoy the peace and serenity of the Smith Schoolhouse for your stay in Westby. The well-maintained home has three rooms that can sleep five, free WiFi and a fly tying room.
While fly fishing the Driftless, we offer lodging at our Smith Schoolhouse in Westby. The original structure was built as a one room schoolhouse in 1890 and moved to this property 10 years ago where is was lovingly restored to a truly unique Driftless region cabin. The upstairs includes three bedrooms that can sleep five and a full bathroom, WiFi, stocked kitchen, appliances, wrap around deck and beer fridge. The walkout lower level is the owner's suite complete with leather sofas and a fly tying room. The large property includes plenty of parking, room to hang and dry your waders, BBQ grill and a fire pit to enjoy after a memorable day on the water.
